QuickBooks Desktop to Online Migration
Our QuickBooks Desktop to Online migration moves your Pro, Premier or Enterprise company file into QuickBooks Online — lists, transaction history and reconciliations preserved — cleanly, especially for files that are too large or too messy for Intuit's automated tool.

Why switch
Why move Desktop to Online now
With Intuit steadily pushing customers to the cloud, planning the move beats being forced into it.
Desktop is being phased down
Intuit keeps narrowing Desktop availability and support. Moving on your own schedule avoids a rushed, year-end migration.
Anywhere access
QuickBooks Online means no more hosting fees, VPNs or 'who has the file open' problems.
Automated tool falls short
Intuit's built-in converter chokes on large files, list limits and certain transaction types. We convert those cleanly.

The process
How a conversion runs
Every job follows the same disciplined path — you always know what happens next.
Free scoping review
You send a backup or read-only access. We tell you exactly what will convert, what won't, and how clean your data is — before any money changes hands.
Fixed-price quote in 24 hours
One written price for the whole job. No hourly meter, no surprise change orders. You approve before we start.
Data extraction
We pull your full ledger — chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, open balances and transaction history — from your current system.
Mapping & chart of accounts
We map every account, tax code and item to the target system's structure so reports keep meaning the same thing they did before.
Conversion & rebuild
We rebuild the file in the destination software, bringing history across rather than just opening balances, so prior-year comparisons still work.
Reconciliation to the cent
We reconcile the trial balance, A/R and A/P in the new system against your old one. The numbers tie out, or we don't hand it over.
Handover & support
You get a reconciled file, a short walkthrough, and 30 days of email support to answer questions as your team settles in.

Questions, considered
QuickBooks Desktop to Online FAQs
My file is over the size limit — can you still migrate it?
Yes. For large files we use a condensed-plus-history approach so you keep the detail that matters and stay within QuickBooks Online limits.
Will my reconciliations survive?
Yes. We rebuild reconciliations so previously reconciled periods remain reconciled and your bank balances tie out in QBO.
What doesn't move to Online?
A few Desktop-only features (certain inventory methods, some memorised transactions) differ in QBO. We list these in the scoping review so there are no surprises.
Can we run both during the switch?
Yes. We pick a clean cut-over date and keep your Desktop file as a read-only archive.
