What doesn't convert — and how we handle it
Most things convert. A few don't.
Chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, open balances and transaction history move reliably between systems. But every platform has features with no clean equivalent elsewhere, and pretending otherwise causes nasty surprises.
The usual non-transfers
Workflow automations and approval rules are platform-specific and don't move — we document the ones you rely on and rebuild equivalents. Heavily customised code (SuiteScript, custom Sage reports) is documented, not magically ported. Some inventory methods and memorised transactions differ between systems. Attachments and audit-trail metadata transfer only partially depending on file size and platform.
How we handle it
Our free scoping review exists precisely to surface these items before any money changes hands. You get a written list of what converts, what doesn't, and what we'll rebuild — so there are no surprises on go-live day.
The bottom line
A good conversion isn't one that claims everything transfers. It's one that's honest about the exceptions and reconciles the result to the cent.
